Wedding Ceremonies:

The decision to marry is one that is made only after much thought. I believe that you are both unique and that your love for each other and your commitment to marry is special… As an authorised marriage celebrant I am required by law to comply with the Marriage Act 1961, Marriage Regulations 1963, Code of Practice for Marriage.

Legal Requirements

  • Complete and lodge Notice of Intended Marriage.
  • Provide evidence of self and marital status.
  • Both partners be 18 or over.

What you need to bring for your first appointment

  • If born in Australia: Original Birth Certificate.
  • If born outside Australia: Original Birth Certificate, if not available, you will need to lodge a statutory declaration and provide a secondary form of identification, such as your passport.
  • Certificate of Divorce/Death Certificate if previously married.
  • Full names of two adult witnesses.

What I provide for you

  • A professional PA system.
  • A signing table with either 1 or 2 chairs.
  • Table cloth- your choice of colour.
  • Accessories used for special ceremonies: ie vases, candles and coloured sands.

Relationship Education Services

  • Marriage guidance counselling, mediation and pre-marriage education is extremely valuable strengthening and enhancing an existing relationship. You are both in love and want to ensure that your commitment is lifelong.
  • I will provide you with relationship Education Providers for couples as well as relationships for step families.

Fees and Charges

  • Monday to Sunday- $500.00
  • Public Holidays- $600.00
  • Kiss & go ceremonies- $295.00
  • In the event that the ceremony is outside Illawarra/Wollongong South Coast area and the distance of the return journey exceeds 30 kms, an extra $20.00 applies.
  • No extra cost for rehearsal.

Symbolic Ceremonies:

It is always my goal to provide my clients with such a wonderful ceremony they will never forgot, I will be happy to do the same for you.

  • Sand ceremonies- may include family members.
  • Unity candle ceremonies including memorial candles.
  • Hand binding ceremonies ie: using ribbons or cords.
  • Optional blessings and readings and any other special ceremony that you may choose.

Create your own inspiring ceremony

  • I will help you to create your unique wedding ceremony.
  • I will provide sample of wedding vows.
  • I will provide samples of poems, verses, blessings and readings.
  • I will provide samples of speeches for couples, grooms and Father of the bride or any other special guests.

Code of Practice

  • The code of practice applies to marriage celebrants(being persons registered under subdivision C of division 1 of part IV of the Marriage Act 1961.
  • A marriage celebrant must provide a high standard of service.
  • A marriage celebrant must recognise the social, cultural and legal significance of marriage and the marriage ceremony in the Australian community and the strong and the respectful family relationships.

Privacy Policy and Complaints Procedure

  • All personal information is stored securely in a fire safe filing cabinet, as well as a password protected file on my computer.
  • Personal information is only to be used for the purposes for which it is collected or for other purposes, where relevant authorities require the information.
  • Any important documents that may need to be mailed are done so using Australia Post’s Registered Mail Service.
  • Making a complaint against a celebrant- this must be in writing and forwarded to the Attorney General’s office.
